Navy Lacquer Tray - Blue Shophouses

This hand illustrated Gingerlily tray by Simon Privettt celebrates the blue coloured shophouses that line Singapore’s heritage districts. These buildings are shaped by Peranakan culture and conserved for their architectural beauty. Their blue façades, carved timber screens, ceramic tiles, and iconic five‑foot ways reflect a blend of Chinese courtyard traditions, Malay craftsmanship, and European decorative influence.

Created as part of our Singapore collection, honouring the places that hold the city’s history and heart.

The tray consists of a sturdy wooden base and multiple coats of lacquer are applied successively to the trays, which create a depth of color and an elegant finish. They come in branded boxes, ready for gifting.
