Everton Road is well known for its street art and murals. this 1938 shophouse has Chinese words that state 'Life is Marvellous'. This words perhaps serve as encouragement to our migrant forefathers who just arrived at the shores of Singapore and buiding this country to what it is today.

          Anderson Bridge straddles the mouth of the Singapre River and connects Empress Place with Collyer Quay. It was named after John Anderson, governor of the Straits Settlement and high commissioner for the Federated Malay States (1904–11), who officially opened the bridge on 12 March 1910.
