          Koon Seng Road Shophouse. Arguably the most photographed shophouse street of Singapore. Originally built in the 1920s, these pastel-coloured structures were once inhabited by Peranakan Chinese, which can be seen in the intricate detailing, motifs and tiles adorning each home.

          Known to feature some of Singapore’s prettiest houses, this street has attracted an international audience, and you may get the chance to rub shoulders with other photographers and tourists alike while you’re there.

The area’s identity is especially shaped by its unique pre-war architecture – colourful two-storey shophouses and terrace houses with ornate facades, intricate motifs and ceramic tiles.
